The Presidential Inauguration will take place on April 19 – 21, 2024.

This will be a weekend-long commemoration of Columbia College’s 21st president, John H. Dozier, and a public reaffirmation of the College’s commitment to impact, service, and academic excellence.

Schedule of Events:

Friday, April 19 

2:00 – 3:00 PM 
The Columbia College Student Government Association will host a homecoming pep rally celebration in the Student Union with food and music.  

7:00 – 9:00 PM 
Invited guests will enjoy a private welcome reception hosted by the Board of Trustees at the President's home (Maxwell House). 

Saturday, April 20

11:00 AM
The President and Guests will attend the worship service at Washington Street United Methodist Church (1401 Washington Street, Columbia, SC 29201). Members of the Columbia College community are welcome to attend as well.
